Sweet Potato Pie: A Thanksgiving Tradition

Every year around this time I reflect on the first Thanksgiving my husband and I had together as man and wife. I still get a chuckle just thinking about it. We come from two different cultures. Our cultures never really clashed until we were trying to figure out what pie we should have at Thanksgiving.

Good Morning Sandra :0} I have been a follower of your blog for long time and each one brings me encouragement and a smile or two! Thank you for your commitment to helping us Titus 2 women continue to teach and encouragement our young homemakers . I too am a "career" homemaker, for the last 30 years now.. Married 33 this past October. My many aprons are my business suit and my sweet family my passion, and now too have three previous Grandlittles! I'm so blessed to have a sweet hub who has always blessed me by supporting me as a wife and full time homemaker. He always says he wouldn't have it any other way. His friends in his office are forever telling him how lucky he is. Especially when they are the happy recipients of a homemade lunch I put together for all of them! :0D. We have been a one income family in a two income world for 30 years, proof positive that it can be done. Yes, our home is smaller and we spent most of our time homeschooling our two beautiful daughters, we made sacrifices to be a one income family. But.. What a joy! We are empty nesters now, and seeing the benefits of our choice for our lives to be a homemaking family. We have a lovely little home and enjoy our new roles as Papa and Nanny to our three Grands! I thank you for your commitment to encourage our young women just starting out as homemakers. Be blessed ~ Marge ~ :0D
